All of the Hybrid MW models incorporate Morel’s core technologies. A 2 ¼” Aluminum Hexatech External Voice Coil wound on an aluminum former enables stable, efficient, and linear piston-like movement which effectively reduces distortion levels. Morel’s optimized one-piece DPC cone forms a flat geometric plane that improves sound dispersion and dynamics, creating a realistic three-dimensional sound presentation. The new Hybrid woofers’ suspension improves the mechanical movement and stability of the membrane, attributing it to a very low distortion level at high power and better low-frequency dynamic range. The Hybrid MW woofer's innovative design is key to the powerful transient sound quality it delivers.


DPC CONE - DPC, or Damped Polymer Cone, is a direct derivative of the cones Morel has built its reputation upon. With high self-damping characteristics, this cone provides exceptional sound quality without coloration or harshness.


HEXATECH™ ALUMINIUM VOICE COIL - Made from 100% aluminum wire shaped like a honeycomb, the Hexatech™ voice coil reduces air gaps in the coil windings, thereby increasing efficiency by up to 20%. Being lightweight, Hexatech™ voice coils are largely responsible for the extraordinary fast transient response Morel drive units are known for.


HYBRID MAGNET MOTOR - The Hybrid motor drive system uses a ferrite magnet together with a very powerful neodymium magnet. Combined they create a compact, lightweight motor system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional designs of the same size. With Hybrid, more amplified power is converted into sonic energy for flawless performance, even in a small driver.
